How do I transfer an image file from One Notes to Word

I would like to be able to select a portion of the One Notes screen and
import that as a scalable picture into Word. Possible? (similar to Image
Writer in Office 2003)

If I understand you correctly, you can capture a screen clipping and paste it
in Word.

1. Make sure OneNote is not full screen.
2. Type Windows Key + S
3. Drag a rectngle over whatever you want to copy
4. ON will automatically paste the image in OneNote, but it is also copied
to the Windows clipboard. This means you can open Word and click Edit |
Paste (or type Control+V) and paste the captured image into Word.

You may want to read the screen clipping section of OneNote Help.

Take a screen clipping {Windows key+s} of the portion of a OneNote screen
you want. Open Word and paste.
