how do i transfer visio 2002 to new computer

In trying to install Visio 2002 on my new notebook computer, I get an error
message that no previous version was detected -- my recollection when I did
the install on the previous desktop was that I had to uninstall my original
Visio program. Any ideas?

It's been a while, but during the installation process, you should be
prompted to insert your previous media to verify that you qualify for the
upgrade.
