How do I turn off Autosave?

Hi,

I'm running Microsoft Windows 98 and Excel 97.

For some reason, some of my documents are automatically saving every 5
minutes which is a nuisance.

I don't know how to turn it off and my research on the net hasn't
helped. It says to select "Tools" then "Autosave" but I don't have
the "Autosave" option.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Tools>Add-ins and de-select the Autosave add-in if checked on.

Although you should have "AutoSave" on the Tools menu if it is running.

Maybe something else saving at 5 minute intervals?

Any code in your workbooks or worksheets? Personal.xls?

A third-party add-in like J.K.Pieterse's "Autosafe" add-in?
