How do I turn off "Create Drawing Here" box?

Is there a way to turn off the "Create Drawing Here" box from popping up
automatically when you select any of the auto-shapes in the drawing toolbar?
If so, how?

Secondary, how do you configure word to put the "Create Drawing Here" box
where your cursor is, instead of always at the top of the document?

Tertiary, how do you configure word to past draw boxes exactly where your
cursor is, or in relation to the cursor, instead of in the top left corner of
a document?

The Drawing Canvas feature is always available via Insert=>Picture=>New drawing. The automatic appearance can be turned off in
Tools=>Options=>General

Assuming you're using Word 2003 the position of inserted or pasted graphics in Print Layout view in a text area would normally be
tied to where your typing cursor is blinking, not to the position where the mouse cursor is hovering (although drawing autoshapes
should be based on where you start with the plus sign drawing cursor.

The layout setting in Tools=>Options=>Edit for where to insert/paste drawings may be a factor here as can the use of the 'click n'
type' setting.

If you've stored a graphic as an autotext entry then insert that the element may be in the same position last saved.
