Tools, Options and then there is a button for search options. Uncheck
all your storages there.
If you want to completely make sure instant search is no longer on your
computer, deinstall WDS 3.
Why exactly do you want to turn it off?
If it's the initial performance hit and the time taken to build the initial
index then I'd persevere with it. Instant Search is well worth the wait.
