How do I turn off the automatic shape search when I start Visio?

I find that the most annoying thing about Visio 2003 is that when you start
up it always searches for shapes. It seems to find and try and load every
..exe file on your system. I have updated the path information for where my
stencils are but I can't find a way to turn off the automatic search.

Any ideas?

Go to Tools > Options > Shape Search and then select a location in the
hierarchy to change its search properties.
