How do I turn off the Resource task pane?

Every time I draw an oval and press [Alt] to fine tune the size, the Resource
task pane opens. I don't want/need the pane. The pane is a pain.

Thanks,

Dan

The Research task pane is opened with Alt+Click. You just need to be careful
to hold the mouse button down longer while pressing Alt (so that it doesn't
register as a click). It may also be possible to adjust your mouse
properties to determine what registers as a click (though my mouse
properties only have a setting for double-click speed).

I hate the Task Pane too. I can't get it to turn off PERMANENTLY. The pane is
a pain!!!!!

I tried reassigning the keyboard shortcut "Alt+R" to the Research button on
the Reviewing tab, but while that enabled me to activate it with Alt+R, it
did nothing to remove the Alt+Click functionality. :-(
