How do I turn off the Task Template off on Startup?

Hi

I used the Calendar same template file from the Microsoft web site to
download a Calendar that I can add notes to each day. There is an annoying
problem with the Task Template continuously appearing on Word Startup. I am
using Word 2003.

I have tried un-checking the box in the Options View dialog to turn off the
Task Pane on Startup. This does not work for the this particular Pane (i.e.
the Template Pane)

I have also tried the registry change fix suggested in Article Id #838676.
The referenced key is not in my Registry.

Can anyone help?
