How do I turn off voice "You've got mail"?

Whenever I receive an email, a mail voice declare's "You've got mail". I can
live with the voice, but it also turns my sound volume up full! Not good.
Can anyone help please.

Outlook doesn't do this by default.
My guess is that you have a Toshiba computer. Look for the Toshiba Speech
application and either reconfigure it or remove it from your computer.

In Outlook, you can configure whether or not it sounds an audible alert.
You don't get to pick what sound is played in Outlook. Your choices are
to disable the sound alert option in Outlook or to change what audio
file gets played (Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Sounds
tab -> New Mail Notification event -> pick a sound file (or pick None if
you don't want any sound but then you might as well as disable the sound
alert option inside of Outlook).
