How do I unfreeze slide bars and scrolling in Word 2007?

On the Word page, the slide bars and scrolling are not functioning and the
cursor cannot be inserted between words. In Word Options, the scrolling from
button to button is frozen and so I cannot access Resources to helkp with a
solution. This has happened suddenly while using Word and now repeats from
session to session. The Diagnostic and Repair functions have not detected
these faults and report a 100% functional application.

Sounds like a corrupt Word DataKey. Run regedit and delete it.
