how do I uninstall Office2000 and keep Publisher2000 and ClipArt G

I recently got a copy of OfficeXP and installed it onto my computer(XP PRO).
I left Office2000 on the machine because I need Publisher2000--Publisher was
not on the OfficeXP disk. Is there a way I can uninstall Office2000 without
losing Publisher and my ClipArt Gallery? If I have to I can still drag clips
from the Clip Organizer but it's a hassle.

Publisher 2000 can be installed as a standalone application. It does better in
its own folder rather than in an Office folder in Program files. The clip
gallery will have to installed too. Seems to me it is on disk 2 along with
Publisher.

Mary--you are my new best friend. I can't help but wonder if you just wait
for my dumb question of the day. Can I just remove my clip gallery and then
reinsert it(pull it out of the ArtGallry folderand then put it back) and save
my Media Catalog File that's in Application Data?

You can drag the CAG icon to the desktop and create a shortcut. You cannot
insert but you can drag and drop.

I do believe you have to leave the Gallery in the Microsoft Shared folder. You
can use the Gallery in XP applications, Insert, object, scroll down to Microsoft
Clip Gallery.

Office XP will want to overwrite the Gallery. I can't remember what choices you
get before you install.

I have every version of Publisher on my computer, until Vista they all worked
flawlessly. The earlier versions are not happy campers with Vista. Office 2007
killed the Gallery altogether. I have an older computer that works fine with
Windows XP and Publisher and the Gallery.

That's the problem I started with when I had the Trial Office 2007. See how
we've come full circle?
Thanks so much.
I'm happy--and the machine(I still haven't given it a name--I name my cars
the first day) is finally happy.
