How do I unlock a Word document?

I cannot make any changes to any of my existing Word documents, and the
computer is telling me "this modification is not allowed because the document
is locked". I also cannot type anything in new Word documents as the same
message appears. Does anyone know how to solve this?

You must Activate your version or Word /Office using Help, Activate Product.
After 50 uses it will lock out automatically.

Alternatively, you have installed a 60-day trial version and your trial
period has ended. In which case, you need to purchase a full version.
