how do i unlock my document?

when i was editing in ms word and excel i cant type any letter and below
there's a message that this modification is not allowed because the document
is lock?
pls try to help me thanks

This is not a developer question; it should be posted in a WORD newsgroup.
And you should ALWAYS mention which version of Word is involved.

I can think of two reasons for what you're seeing:
1. The document has been protected, via Tools/Protect Document.

2. You're using an unregistered version of Word; perhaps a trial version
where the trial period has expired.
