how do i unlock my ms word so that i can type

[i cannot type on ms word or excel]

when i open my ms word, excell i cannot enter a single alphabet or figure in
it. even if i open a new page i cannot type nothing on it. i can't enter a
figure too on the excel. the mesage under the status bar tells me that the
modification has been locked. so how do i unlock it.

Maybe you forgot to activate your copy of Office, or you're using a trial
version that has expired. Try going to Help > Activate Product and see what
happens. If it's a trial version, see
