How do I update Office XP after uninstalling Office 2003?

I have uninstalled Office 2003 and installed Office XP. When I access the
Office update website, it thinks I still have Office 2003 installed. I assume
there is a registry entry that needs to be adjusted. Any ideas?

Hi, Bilbo,

When you removed Office 2003, did you remove everything? Check in the
Windows Control Panel to see if Office 2003 or any of its family of products
(Publisher, FrontPage) are installed. The Windows Installer reads from the
same data as the Windows Control Panel.

If you do see something there, then you should either uninstall it or let
Office Update do its thing. Otherwise, if there is truly nothing there and
you're annoyed by the update site, you can run the Windows Installer Cleanup
Utility to remove Windows Installer entries related to Office 2003 in the
Windows registry.
