How do I use hidden 'recipient' in FP Form?

I want to prevent my reply email address on my form from being picked up by
spammer bots, so I'm attempting to use a "hidden recipient". I'm sure it's
something that should be obvious to me, but I'm having a devil of a time
trying to get the syntax correct for the email address.

My host provided instructions for configuring the FormMail.conf file for
"alias recipients" as well as code "<input type="hidden" name="recipient"
value="me" />", and for adding valid email addresses to the "Allow Mail To"
and "Recipient Alias" areas. (The same instructions can be seen here:

I've saved all fields including the hidden ones in the properties box. I
have tried every combination using the alias address in the form properties
Send To line that i can think of (e.g. "recipient", or (e-mail address removed),
or the "alias value", or "the alias value @myweb.com")

However, unless i enter a "real" email address in the Send To line, the
submit either fails, or else the submission & confirmation page works fine
but I receive no reply.

Hmmm... why is it that my questions to this group (and they aren't that
frequent) seldom elicit replies? I just don't understand; I bathe daily,
use deodorant, and try to brush and gargle with Listerine after every
meal...

Maybe it's the Listerine !!



Seriously, no one that I know has ever tried sending to a blind recipient using a
FrontPage form, and I honestly don't think it can be done unless you were to use some
server side scripting such as asp.

Not possible when using the FP Form Handler. Since you have the option to use Formmail, then that
would be your solution.
