How do I use MSPowerPoint template background with MSPublisher bus

I downloaded an MS Powerpoint template with a background I would like to use
with MS Publisher to create business cards. However, when I try to copy it
to the MS Publisher business card template it is oversized. If I try to
re-size it to fit the business card template the image is elongated. Any
suggestions?

I am using Microsoft Office XP.

If the proportions of the card is not the same (or all but the same) as the
PPT image, you have two choices. Either distort the image or crop it.

Copy the image to a folder, open it in a Paint editing program and resize it. In
Publisher, create a rectangle autoshape the size of your card, click fill, fill
effects, picture tab, browse to the image. Put the results on the Master page
(ctrl+m), give it no line.


Anytime you try to reduce a bitmap image you will have distortion
