How do I use my mouse to select in Word 2007? (Beta)

I have downloaded the Beta of Office 2007, and the Compatability program that
goes with it. I am working in Word 2007. I can type into the document just
fine, but if I go to highlight a word or phrase with my mouse, nothing
happens. The keyboard functions work fine though. I am not able to click
anywhere in the document, left click or right click. I have the "Enable
click and type" selected in the Advanced options. Is there something else I
need to do to get the mouse working in this latest version of Word?

Pretty interesting. I'm assuming that your mouse works in all of your other
applications except Word? If that's the case, please try the Word General
Questions usergroup for an answer - there seems to be a lot of questions (and
answers) for 2007 there. This is the VBA developer's group.
