I am trying to figure out how to access the Onenote and use it effectively
for my class.

Please advise,

Sorry, I do not know what the "APA writing guideline" might be.
Would you have a reference?

Google points to the American Psychological Association style guide for
writing structured papers, journals and manuscripts.

I do not think OneNote's free-thinking, loosely structured information
gathering style is suited to the highly structured nature of APA guidelines.

MS Word is a better approach

Can you provide more detail on what you are trying to do?

Your subject header referring to APA guidelines (which OneNote is not suited
for) does not seem to relate to using OneNote in a class situation (which
OneNote is very suited for).
