How do I use the date selected on a calendar in a query?

I wish to use the Calendar control in Access to allow a user to click a date
on the calendar and then use that date in a search query. As a corollary to
this I'd also like to enable the selection of a begin date and a end date on
the calendar which are then used as a date range in a query. I'm painfully
new to activeX controls and would gratefully appreciate some direction.

Thanks for the quick response! And, I am perfectly content to remain
ignorant of ActiveX controls for a long as I can. I'm more interested in
something that works than I am in following the Microsoft line.

Thus, I am more than willing to consider alternatives to ActiveX. I've been
to the http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/calendars.htm website and have
downloaded several of the files for further study. In the meantime is there
a "quick fix" you can recommend that would allow me to use a calendar to
prompt for dates which are then used as criteria in a query?

Thanks!

Hi, Everett.

The ActiveX control _is_ the quick fix. I come from the Unix world so none
of the utilities that I could recommend would work in Windows. But to tell
you the truth, the ActiveX Calendar control is one of the more stable ActiveX
controls because new versions don't come out very often. So the file that
your application depends upon won't be overwritten frequently by other
software being installed on the workstation, which would break your
application.

Check out the files that you downloaded. I'm sure you'll find a suitable
alternative that works for you.
