How do I use word to type a document in Japanese

I can't seem to figure out how to prepare a document in Japanese on Word. I
have word 2003 for teachers/students, and it appears that Japanese IME is
enabled. Help! Thanks

I believe Cindy meant the microsoft.public.word.international.features
