How do I view graphics with a red x placeholder?

A web site Shutterfly downloaded pictures from my son's wedding. All of the
pictures are replaced with a placeholder that has a red x in it. What must I
do to view these pictures?

The red 'x' usually indicates that the images are missing from the
expected location.
