I have a similar problem. I went to Office Updates. There were two kinds of
Service Pack 3 updates. One said Service Pack 3 for Office SR1 and
Publisher. The other said just Service Pack 3 I think. Both were indicated
as required updates so I chose both. I think one installed but the other did
not. It says it did with 0kb in the update window. But it still shows up as
a required update and none of the application updates that have SP3 as a
prerequisite light up. So it did not install. Every time I try again it
asks for a data1.msi on Outlook 2000 OEM disk. I don't have that disk and
never have. I have Office 2000 with Outlook on it. The file the install is
looking for is nowhere on my hard drive. There is a data1.msi on the Office
disk but that is not the one the install/update is looking for. Now what?
