How do Invite non-grove licencees to a workspace?

I have MS Groove on my system and want to invite non-Groove users into a
workspace but when they accept invite it takes them through a series of info
requests and downloads but doesnt take them anywhere. Can someone please help?

have them install the Groove client software (retail or trial) first and then
invite them - this will be relatively an easier way to get things going..
