KS,
I don't have Project open at the moment but from memory, go to View/More
Views and see which is highlighted.

You can also find out through the Immediate window in the VB Editor. I
think the syntax is:
Print ActiveProject.CurrentView

Hope this helps.

Hi ks

On the screen on the left side there would be a blue strip where the name of
the view would be shown.

I hope it helps.

The name of the view is displayed vertically, along the left edge of the
window.

Since you are getting multiple opinions on this need, allow me to share one
more technique:

Float your mouse pointer over the Select All button (upper left corner of
the Task Sheet). The software will display a Tool Tip that shows you the
name of the current View, the name of the current Table displayed within the
View, and a shortcut to quickly change from Table to Table.

Hope this helps.

Great tip, Dale! I never knew that

Hi ks2000,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Try View/View menu. This should put a series of icons for the views in a
blue view bar down the left. The current view will be highlighted with an
orange outline.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
