I want to know if there is an automatic way of adding double spaces into a
word document inbetween the words without having to press the space bar twice.

Use the replace function.

Hi cheryl,

Do an Autotext option using Insert>Autotext, Autotext and press two spaces .
Make an addition to the option and test your results.

I assume this is what you ask.
