How do U set permissions to see report, but not entire database?

We are trying to put a shortcut for a report to each user, but we do not want
them to have access to the entire database. For them to see report, I need
to give them permission to read the entire database, but we do not want this.
We only want them to see a portion of the data. How can we set permissions
to let them print their reports each day without having access to the entire
database information?

If these are reports that they need to get on a daily basis, then have the
database email the report to your users in a .rtf format.

Make a separate front end database which makes only the report available.
The front end links to the data tables in the back end database.
