How do you add a hyperlink to an Outlook template?

We are using Outlook 2007 to set up an email template that incorporates a
hyperlink (e.g. to a static location for meeting minutes)

However, when it is created from a HTML format emai) , it reverts to plain
text template, with the hyperlink disabled.

Is there any way around this?
