How do you add the new task shortcut to taskbar?

Before upgrading to Microsoft Outlook 2003, I had the 'new task' and 'new
mail message' shortcut in my taskbar, so I did not have to switch to Outlook
to open a new task or new mail message. These shortcuts were deleted during
the upgrade, and I cannot find them anywhere.
