How do you change the default fill and line style for objects?

I am trying to set the default fill pattern and line style that Visio uses
when adding objects from the Basic Flowchart Shapes. I cannot seem to find a
concise explantion on how to do this anywhere. Thanks for the help.

Sorry for the delay, had to get access to Visio 2003. You might want to
check this out, menu bar > Shapes > Actions > new. Looks like you can define
most everything. Also, there's menu bar > Format > Styles. Between the two
of these, you ought be able to create your custom configuration.
