How do you change the default year from 2004 to 2005?

I have a Master File in which I put all our small projects. I run into a
problem when I add a new task to one of those projects - the date that pops
up is Jan 2004. This was fne until now - it is Jan 2005 and I have to go
through all of 2004 to get to the correct date. Help!

Hi Morgan,

By default, Project schedules newly added task on the start date of the
project (which I assume was January 2004.) You may go to Tools -> Options
and on the Schedule tab change the New Tasks: to "Start on Current Date".

Be aware that this sets a Start No Earlier" than constraint on the task.
