How do you copy images of toolbars, dropdown boxes etc. into word

I want to create a mock manual using word. I want to copy dropdown boxes
toolbars, etc. as pictures into a word document. Sort of creating a how to
using word as an example.

You need a screen capture utility such as SnagIt (www.techsmith.com) unless
you want to take a screen shot of the entire screen or window and manually
edit it down to just the bits you want (in a graphics program).

If by chance you happen to be on Vista -- use the Snipping Tool to frame and
copy the content you want to transfer to your document.
