How do you create a template part from Visual Studio

T

Tebe

Visual studio has an "InfoPath 2007 Form Template" in order to create
InfoPath projects. When selecting this option it invokes the Infopath wizard,
allowing you to select a template part creation.

This works ok, until it comes time to actually use the part you have
created. Publishing your work creates an *.xsn file and not *.xtp Does anyone
know how you could create the desired template part file?

Well to answer my own post, and to help others...
The xtp and the xsn files are just cabinet files.
You can change the extension and view the contents in explorer.

Having said that, if you really want to create an xtp - you can take the
files that make up the xtp (can be seen in the solution explorer in VStudio)
and package them together using Makecab.exe and a DDF file. For instructions
