Hi,
It is not clear what shape you are interested to create in Visio 2003 but
you may follow the steps avaialble in the Help menu. Go to Help menu and
click on "Microsoft office visio help" and then in the Search for box type
in the search string " custom shape" or "How to create custom shape" and
you can find many topics which will help you create your own shape.
For your quick reference I am giving a sample help topic.
Create a custom building or room layout using geometric shapes or lines
Create the custom layout in one of the following ways:
Draw and merge geometric shapes
Draw multiple geometric shapes, such as rectangles or shapes that have
multiple segments.
Overlap the geometric shapes to create a custom layout.
Select the shapes.
On the Shape menu, point to Operations, and then click Union, Subtract, or
Intersect.
Draw an outline
Use the Line tool or the Rectangle tool to draw outlines of all of the
rooms and other areas of your layout.
Select the layout you created and convert it to walls.
How
Select the layout.
On the Plan menu, click Convert to Walls.
UnderWall shape, click the type that you want.
Under Settings, select the Add dimensions and Add guides check boxes so
that you can easily measure and reposition the walls after you create them.
You can resize the walls by dragging horizontal and vertical guides.
Note If you didn't add guides when you converted the shape to walls, you
can resize the newly created walls by manually resizing and reconnecting
individual walls.
Under Original geometry, click Delete to delete the original lines.
Add walls to create individual rooms within the shape.
