How do you define parameters to control shape size?

I am making a custom rack rail shape and I want to make it so I can resize it
to prescribed 1.750 inch lengh intervals.

I also have 3 rack screw holes per interval that are precisely located. I
want them to repeat automatically when rail length is resized.

How do I achieve these results in visio 2003? I'm not sure what the
necessary functions are called in order to research it on my own. Any help
is much appreciated.

Thanks,

You need to use the ShapeSheet to precisely position you connection points
or holes.
Basically, for need to have all the possible geometry or connection points
already in your ShapeSheet, but make the geometry visible when you extend
the rail using ShapeSheet functions, or make the connection points change
type and position (you can't make them invisible).

Have you encountered the ShapeSheet's functionality?
