How do you display email addresses as "undisclosed list".

I frequently receive Emails from friends with the list of Email addresses displayed as "undisclosed list". Can that be done with Entourage?

Yep. Simply put all of the addressees into the Bcc: field. You don¹t need to
put any in the To: field (unlike when you use Cc:).

... but be aware that if you do this some spam filters will treat the
message as spam, which you may not want.

Actually, I believe that doesn't comply with the RFC :)

I believe there must always be at least ONE address in the "To:" field, or
the email is not compliant, and some mail servers will refuse to accept it.

Many people use their OWN email address in the "To" field, which avoids
disclosing ANY of the emails in the BCC field.

Cheers

Ah! I am smarter now than before I read this. Thanks! I figured Bcc would
actually populate the ³to² field if there was nothing already in it. But I
have to admit that thought to that I gave not much.

Hmmm...

RFC2822 doesn't REQUIRE any recipients at all...

According to RFC2822.3.6.3, ALL Destination address fields are "possible"

So there should NEVER be a need to populate the To: field.

That doesn't mean that some clients or server implementations aren't
non-compliant, of course.

Many ISPs require it. It's spam prevention.
