How do you freeze the text?

I'm new to templates and have read the instructions but can't seem to find
out how to freeze the text on my template. I'm creating a fill in the blank
form for our sales team. The template looks great until we start filling in
the blanks and the other text moves one space with each letter typed? I'm
sure this is an easy fix, but I can't figure it out.
