How do you get Office Upgrade to Download?

I have Office 2000 Standard. I have problems opening Word attachements in
Outlook. I get messages to down load 3 Office updates. I have tried both
suggested methods (with and without the CD) without success. Any suggestions?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
