How do you lock the font?

R

Ron

I have a number of prewritten documents I need to fill in and edit. I want my responses to be a
different font, size, color etc from the rest of the document in order to be distinguishable.
But every time I go to another line word changes the font characteristics that I have set to
match what is already in the document. I do not want Word to change the font and it is
driving me absolutely stark raving mad! How do I lock the font so that it stays at what I set
it to be until I want to change it?!

Ron,

As soon as you place your cursor on a new line it accepts the formatting of
the line above it.

Try this:

Type a few letters in the formatting you want. Now copy that line onto your
clipboard using 'CTRL+C'
Place the cursor where you want the next entry. Paste it using CTRL+V and
the line and format you want will be pasted.

This is a roundabout way of reformatting but much quicker that changing all
your each time. You need only type one letter in the new format.
