I'm trying to make a divided page -- it may be called two pages on one sheet -- making a folded program on landscape 8 1/2 by 11 paper. Any suggestions how to do it? It looks fine on the screen but doesn't print properly.

This must be a school assignment :)

You are the second person to have this problem in the past two days!

If it "Looks fine" but it won't print properly, chances are you are
experiencing the same bug as the other questioner in here. I looked at his
document, and there is no reason why it should not print properly: it does
here.

Check the following:

1) You page size must be set correctly to half the size of your printed
sheet (minus half a centimetre to allow for the fold).

2) The printer paper size must be set to a sheet size twice the size of
your page size.

3) Your Section Break should be set to "Odd Page" to force the first page
onto a right-hand page. Sadly, due to a bug, that does not seem to work.
Use a Page Break on the first page to force the text over.

4) Choose "Two up" or "Two pages per sheet" from the printer driver.

5) Choose a physical printer that can handle the correct sheet size, even
if you are printing to PDF. There must be a printer driver installed. You
do not need to have the printer connected, or even own it, but Word needs
the driver to read its measurements from.

From there, it should work. If it doesn't, I think you are running into the
same bug, and I do not know what is causing it. You could email me your
document if you like and I will check it for you, but I am wondering whether
this is OS-related. You're on 10.5 and so was the other poster.

I am on 10.4, because Office doesn't work right with 10.5 :)

Hope this helps
