I have Microsoft Office 2007 with Word 2007 and I want to know how do I make
the color white in a picture transparent, so that the background will show
through the picture.
We have a JPG image and we outlined the person in the image and made the
background around that person white. We inserted a rectangular shape with
Insert | Shape | Rectangle onto the Word document. We then inserted a
picture which shows the white background behind the person's image. The
problem is now when we select the picture and go to Picture Tools | Recolor
the option for "Set Transparent Color" is GREYED OUT and is not available.
What is the trick to making the part of the picture that we have made white
into a transparent image?
