I don't know about 2007 -- but in 2003 and earlier versions -- you need to
open the format picture dialog -- and change the layout to something other
than "in line with text" -- like square or tight.

Then you click and drag the graphic wherever you want it.

If it is in line with text -- you can left, center or right align it .. and
move it up and down the lines of text in your document.

Hope this helps -- again -- I use 2003 and 2000 -- so it may be different in
2007.

I guess that is what I am up against, I, too, just like what you have said
used to freely move, rearrange etc. clipart just as you have indicated.
However it does not work that way in word 2007 and it is driving me crazy!
Thanks so much for your reply, anyone else who is using Microsoft Word 2007
and trying to move clipart around ina document???

It looks like moving clipart around works the same way in 2007 as in 2003 and
earlier. The Text Wrapping feature is located on the Format tab on the ribbon
bar. The Format tab appears when the clipart is selected. Or you can right
click on the picture and select Text Wrapping from the menu. Then select
Square, Tight, etc.
