How do you move the rolenames on a UML association in Visio 2003?

The subject pretty much says it all. I am able to grab the bounding box
around each rolename (and even rotate it) but it wont budge otherwise. Unf.
Visio's automatic placement of the rolesnames leaves a lot to be desired
