How do you not let two lines intesect?

In a drawing when two lines cross over each other I need visio to provide an
arc for one line over the other. How do i do this?

Layout and Routing
Line Jumps section

I haave line jumps turned on in that area but it still doesn't work. any new
suggestions?

You must be using Connectors and not Lines in order to get Line Jumps.
Sorry about the confusing terminology here.

Connectors are drawn using the Connector Tool in the Standard toolbar.
