know how.
For MS Word, I much prefer the CTRL method which I find fairly easy to
remember. For example, n tilde, is given by CTRL-(tilde), release
then n. The French e acute is given by CTRL-(single quote), then e and
the German o umlaut by CTRL- (colon), then o. Microsoft does discuss
the method under Keyboard Shortcuts for International Characters and
there are other useful things like Spanish question marks and
exclamation marks. I find the Insert Symbol method slower when I use
it but to each his own.
I have not used the CTRL method for this note since it does not apply
in Outlook Express.
