How do you put Province and City on one Field

T

Ty

I have two fields in my database "Province" and "City" -
when I do the report I somehow would like to have them
close together, separate by a comma.

For example:

Toronto, Ontario

Currently they are far apart because I don't know how
long the province and city will be - for example:

Toronto Ontario

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Use a control having an expression as its ControlSource.

=[City] & ", " & [Province]

Make sure the name of the control is neither "City" nor "Province".

to concatenate fields, create an unbound text box and
then in the control source say =trim([city]&" "&
[province]). Anything within the quotation marks is
displayed as typed.
