How do you remove a file datasource from Access?

If you mean how to remove a linked table, you can just delete the table from
the navigation pane (A2007) or the database window (A2003 and backwards).
Deleting the linked table removes the link, it doesn't delete the file.

I think I may have set it up wrong and want to remove it.

If it's an Access PROJECT, linked to a SQL Server database through a database
connection, deleting it in the Access front end will delete in from the SQL
server database.

If it's not an Access project (adp file), on the front end, and it's a linked
table, then if you delete the table, yes, it's the link that goes, the table
remains intact.
