how do you remove a resource from adminstrative project

hello,
we've been using adminstrative projects for some time to collect non-working
time.
trying to remove a resource from such a project turned out to be a problem:
1. resource can't just "HIDE" it in tasks page in PWA (it will show up again
next republishing)
2. trying to remove a resource will remove its actuals (undisered, of course)
3. making resource units in task 0% hasn't worked either (still sees it in
tasks page).

any ideas ?
10x in advance.

Try this:

1. Open the Admin project and then Tools > Build Team from Enterprise
2. In the Project Team Resources section, change the Booking Type for
that resource from Committed to Proposed.
3. Republish the admin plan assignments.

That should take care of it for you.

Hope this helps,

it worked !!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!
thanks, Mark.

i used it a bit diiferently, i think (in build team from enterprise you
change the resource for all projects, not ?) - did from "task form" view
and changed the booking type from commited to proposed. "problem" is - it
changed the resource booking type from commited to proposed on all tasks.
so a follow up question - can i remove a resource from several tasks and not
entire administrative project ?

thank you again,
Amir

I'm afraid that is one of the major deficiencies of Administrative projects
and you have to give your head a shake. Whoever stays on a project for
"life"? You cannot remove a resource from either the plan nor specific tasks.
You can, as Mark identified, change them to Proposed on the project.

To remove them from a task, save the Admin project locally and remove them
from the task. Delete the Admin project from Project Server and then Save As
using the corrected local Admin project. This will by default save back into
Project Server. Caution: this will delete the associated timesheet data but
the plan in Project Server retains the "sunk costs" in actual work and cost.
