How do you remove photos from Word 2007 documents?

I edit an organizational newsletter and often receive submissions in Word
with photographs embedded. In order to put the photos in the publishing
program, they need to be a jpg or other standard photo format. HOW can
photos in a Word document be lifted out and saved in other formats? They do
not allow copy and paste.

Save the document as a Web Page (*.htm, *.html) When you do that, a
subfolder will be created in the folder in which you save the document with
the same name as the document and the photos from the document will be saved
as items in that folder.
