How do you remove unassigned resources from a Resource Pool?

AA,
Well the simple answer is, go to the Resource Sheet in the resource pool
file, select the resources you know are unassigned and then Edit/Delete
Resources. But, this seems pretty straightforward so maybe I'm missing
something. Is there more to your question?

Why do you want to? Surely, if they are resources potentially available
to use, they should be in there.

As the others have said, it doesn't seem like a good idea to do it. But if
you're going to go ahead and are asking how to identify those resources that
are unassigned to tasks in order to delete them, switch to the Resource
Usage view, collapse the outline, and look for resources with zero work (and
that are missing the little plus box next to the name that indicates they
have tasks under tme in the outline).

Hi John,

I'm not sure if AA had the same problem as me, but you answered my question!
I am an infrequent Project user and have spent 15 minutes trying to remove an
entry from the Resource Name list and was unsuccessful until you mentioned
the 'Resource Sheet'.

My need was to remove 'TBA' (to be advised) from the list now that real
names have been attached to all tasks.

Tesa,
Glad my response was helpful and thanks for the feedback.
